At Koi Club AGM last night it was suggested that this years grow and show fish should be Kohaku. Cost will still be £60 per fish, very good value given the quality of last lot by all accounts. If interested please contact Colin (our new chairman). Keith and Sue won the much coveted Showa very kindly donated by Colin as the first prize in the Quarterly Raffle at AGM, hope their new pond is up and ready to receive it on time.
A reminder that the last of this seasons monthly meetings at The Farmers Arms is Wed 1st May, after this date next three meetings will be at members ponds kicking off with a get together on 5th June at yours truly weather permitting, details in next newsletter.
Pond visit to Liverpool and district Koi Club is set for Sunday the 12th May if you have not booked your seat on coach/minibus yet please contact Nigel before mid April, the cost is £10 per person and is extremely good value for money as you always get a breakfast, an evening meal and usually drinks at every stop thrown in. I have always enjoyed these pond visits and they are a good way of seeing at first hand the many ways to build or install a pond and also the diverse ( and some very unique ) ways of filtering a pond. All in all a very interesting day out and as ever the generosity and friendly hospitality shown by the proud pond owners, you also get to see some stunning fish!
Sunday 16th June is return visit from Liverpool and District Koi Club.Details in next newsletter

Re: POST AGM NEWS
There are requests for 11 kohaku up to now so well on track for this years grow and show.
Re: POST AGM NEWS
Please note amendment to above dates now reads 5th June not May and is a social get together for members at our pond and not a barbeque as quoted, sorry about that.
