Re: Koi Magazine Summer G&S
Hi Dave,
thanks for the kind words. I'm absolutely delighted to win the Koi Mag comp, but feel congratulations are also due to Tony McCann of Yourkoi who sourced the fish for me in March from Torazo on his spring visit to Japan. The Fish was grown on in a 300 gallon heated tank in my garage, loads of air, 24 degrees and fed using the clubs growth and summer mix. I was a little worried about the Hi spot fading as theres not much natural day light but in the end it stayed pretty much unchanged. Hopefully she will be going into the main pond in May along with some others to make room for our Showa's.
Cheers Mitch

Mitch,
Well done, cracking looking koi, great body shape and the white is striking. Now how do you chose a Cuttlebrook one to have them grow, what do you fancy, obviously Mush did well with the shiro, also seen there pale chag's.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your kind words and once again congratulations on your recent double with your lovely Chag. I've absolutely no idea what to choose from cuttlebrook, I thought I might go with an open mind and see what catches my eye on the day. Don't think it will be a Chag (got 2) but really no idea, it will be odd chosing a nisai as all my previous fish have been tosai that i've grown on. Very excited about it all and the icing on the cake will be returning in the autumn to see it harvested!
best regards Mitch
