This has been our best ever competitions with 10 of the original 12 koi surviving and 9 being photographed for judging. The photographs will be shortly on their way to Japan for judging by by Matsunosuke, the breeder of the koi. A big thank you must go to Tim Waddington of Quality Nishikigoi at Warrington who supplied the koi.

Photographs of the 9 koi are shown below and club members will have a chance to vote for the club champion at the November meeting when the winner will be announced.

The club members voted last night for koi number 6 as their champion with koi number 7 second and koi number 5 third.

We are still waiting for the results from Matsunosuke the breeder and our judge in this years competition, his results will be announced at our December meeting. It will be interesting to see if he agrees with the members choice, personally I hope not as it wasn't one of my koi selected as champion by the members.

Well, we've finally had the judging. In the end, the koi were judged by Shintaro and the results were as follows:

1st koi no 4 owned by Keith Limbert
2nd koi no 8 owned by Daniel Ffrith
3rd koi no 5 owned by Keith Limbert
