Re: Flukes Treatment
Hi Ken,
Yes, I have used Flubenol to control Flukes. Did the job no Problem.
As from last November any medications used in the treatment of fish, has to be Authorised by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD).
under the Small Animal Exemption Scheme. Kusuri now market their own brand of Flubenol called Fluke - M.
This is currently the only legally obtainable form of Flubendazole, for use in Aquatic systems.
regards
Dave.

Re: Flukes Treatment
Hi Ken,
Glad to be of assistance, and good that you got rid of those flukes.
They can cause all sorts of problems, I think Koi carry them most of the time and if the koi are in good health they can cope with low levels of parasites, but if they become stressed for one reason or another i,e, transportation, excessive water changes they can fall foul to parasites.
keep an eye on them!!
