3 boxes of Goshiki and Tancho Goshiki were purchased for Richdon stock, and very nice they were.
While we were having a drink afterwards, Aoki was explaining a new variety he was trying to develop, by crossing Goshiki and Kujaku, this will be called Goshiki Kokuru
We also saw the amazing Goshiki that Stephen and Anthony nearly bought last Autumn, Stunning.
From here we travelled on to Hosokai, via some very tight hairpin bends that Toro negotiated JUST!!!!! it was touch and go on one bend we were all leaning over the edge at one stage.
When we arrived in one piece, I thought, sod this I better buy something whilst I have got chance.
One amazing Goshiki was also secured, the hobbiest's also dabbled with a Kujaku and Shiro Utsuri, also some nice Showa were bowled and purchased for Richdon stock, from another friendly guy.
From here it was back up into mountains to return to Masaki, on entering his Nisai house it was a sea of Black and White, some very nice Shiro Utsuri, Asagi and Showa were secured for Richdon.
Masaki san invited us in to his amazing house for drinks, I even survived the Green Tea, while others chickened out and had coffee.
The next breeder we visited was Maraju Tanaka, with spectacular views from the facility, Tancho Showa, Ginrin Kohaku and Goromo were purchased, the hobbiests dived in again
The final call of the day, was Chogorou which specialise in Parachina, they are total bling, with five in the bowl you need you sunglasses on.
Some excellent examples were secured, they were like peas in a pod,
you would have to look very closely to tell them apart.
