Looking good, nice tidy build.
One thing that I have noticed is that you have fileted the bottom walls before the Celotex, will this cause a ridge for the Koi to scrape themselves on?

You have had some good weather lately 8-)
Get the FG done before the weather changes, I see that you have it covered, try not to get any dampness in or the FG will not cure.

The green water in the temp pond is a pain, I had it when doing my pond and I lost Koi. Would be nice to get a scrape to see what is going on.
I had the lot? Whitespot, Costia and Tric.
IMO temp ponds need overfiltering, temperature is also a concern if not filtered enough, it is a right breeding ground for nasties.

Looking forward to the finished pond,
Dave.

Hi Dave.
Thanks for the comments ive not finished the celotex yet still got to put it on the floor then just fill in the fillets so there should'nt be any ridges when finished.Lost another koi today one of my favourites a Ochiba Shigure, The way things are going im going to have a 6500 gal pond and no koi left to put in it between the ones that have died this year and the ones stolen from the old pond.Hopefully be doing the fiberglassing next weekend then start on the filter house just not enough hours in a day

Paul,
You could have scraped the dead Koi, I know that the parasites tend to die or leave a Koi after death but there is always a chance to find some?
I am not for treating a pond without knowing the parasite, but if you are likely to lose them all? Look to treat for the killers,White Spot, Costia, Chilodenella. E-X-5 will treat for all these without affecting the filters

Well had a nightmare with the fiberglassing originally due to trying to use 600grm matting and trying to wet out on a sunny hot day could not get the air bubbles out of the matting no matter how hard i tried so i just left it all dry then sanded the bad bits down and put patches on it but was not happy with the job so this weekend i fiberglassed over the top using 450grm matt so much easier to use, anyone reading this who is planning on fiberglassing there pond dont watch the video's just use 2x 450grm matt.
Am waiting now for a delivery of resin so hopefully next weekend will get the floor done.
Also started on the filter house all pipe work in ground footings in and a few blocks up.
ive also setup the 2 airlift pumps which can be seen in the backround on the attached picture

Glad to see you're making progress again, I guess fibre glassing the pond yourself has a steep learning curve.

I can't wait to see how your airlift pumps work as it certainly looks like a very economical way of pumping water, although it looks like something you can only incorporate in a new pond build,

Hi Colin
Yes its been a learning curve with the fiberglassing but after talking to somebody who has been fiberglassing for a long time he gave me some helpfull advise ie when mixing only stir the resin for a couple of seconds to get it working and keep resin and catalyst in the shade at all times.
More resin been delivered today so should get it finished hopefully on sat and topcoat on sun.
Regarding the air lift pumps i have got 2x40ltr air pumps which might be a little bit to much so will play around with a dimmer switch on the mains to back them off a bit
