North Wales Koi Club Forum

On average the koi have each grown around 12 cm over the summer. Not quite Japanese mud pond growth but I'm happy with them. I'll leave the koi in my indoor 800 gallon over the winter before moving them to the outside pond in the spring.

Tosai Update and Photos

I've just photographed the 10 koi I purchased from Quality Nishikigoi back in April. After a slow start whilst the filter fully cycled in I've pleased with their growth and condition.

A sure sign that spring is here is when the Jackdaws start plucking the ponies for hair to line their nests with.



A saw a swallow flying about yesterday but, as the old saying goes "one swallow doesn't make a summer", I think summer is quite a few weeks away yet.

One time of the year that most photographers look forward to is Autumn. I like visiting Bodnant Gardens to see the stunning Acer collection of Japanese Maples in their full autumn colours.
