Accessibility information

North Wales Koi Club is committed to providing its services to people with disabilities. This web site has been built to take into consideration all users.

Access keys

We no longer use access keys. In the summer of 2002, a Canadian Web Accessibility consultancy did an informal survey to see if implementing accesskeys caused issues for users of adaptive technology, especially screen reading technology used by blind and low vision users.

These users require numerous keyboard shortcuts to access web pages, as "pointing and clicking" a mouse is not an option for them. Sadly, their research showed that most key stroke combinations did in fact present a conflict for one or more of these technologies, and their final recommendation was to avoid using accesskeys altogether. Navigational Aids

All pages have a bread-crumb trail at the top of the main body of the page. The bread-crumb trail should help you to understand where you are in relation to the home page. This is particularly useful if you have entered the site via your favourites/bookmarks or from a search on Google, Yahoo or MSN.
